Roles & Responsibilities

Expected:

  • To ensure the Safe, Smooth, Scheduled and Energy Efficient Operation of the trains as per regulations.
  • To drive the train on the mainline and in the depot as per assigned duty.
  • To observe high level of alertness and vigilance during train operation and respond to the abnormalities promptly; keeping Operation Control Centre (OCC) informed.
  • To be proactive in ensuring the safety of oneself and those working near the tracks.
  • To be proactive in ensuring the safety of the train and passengers on board.
  • To proactively participate in training & refresher courses; be versed in the troubleshooting of the train on board systems, SOPs, practical handling of train and acquire the expected level of competence.
  • To promptly respond to malfunctions, ensure efficient management and clear the blockage on the mainline within the least possible time.
  • To lead and manage relief and restoration under OCC instruction, after any incident encountered during duty.
  • To disseminate correct & relevant information to passengers whenever required.
  • To ensure punctuality of train and oneself.
  • To be clear and unambiguous during communication.
  • To drive in any shift, any time, and for extended hours during exigencies.
  • To not leave the train unattended without proper handover.
  • To provide On Job Training to new recruits and recommend their suitability.
  • Carry out any other work assigned by Train Crew Controller.

Station Controller

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day station operations ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, policies, and standards.

  • At least 3 years’ experience as an ITI holder with an Electronics or related background.
  • 1-2 years’ experience preferably with Diploma / Engineer in Electronics & Communication, B. Sc. (Electronics/Computer Science) / B. Tech (EEE/CSE/IT) / BCA would also be considered with relevant experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

Expected:

  • To carry out day-to-day organization of the maintenance tasks during their shifts:
    • To ensure preventive maintenance as per guidelines and schedules of maintenance.
    • To organize permanent, immediate and efficient response in case of a major event due to the AFC & COM System.
  • To ensure maintenance works compliance:
    • To adhere to maintenance standards.
    • To ensure safety & adhere to procedures respect.
    • To ensure upkeep of tools, assets and records.
  • To coordinate with the Team Leader about maintenance of AFC & COM assets.
  • To organize collection of technical facts related to failures and its correct transmittal.

Roles & Responsibilities

Expected:

  • Tracks - Maintainer is responsible for the maintenance of tracks in an operational state, able to ensure commercial service.
  • As such, he is in charge of:
  • Day-to-day organizing of materials from stores and performing the maintenance task during his shifts.
  • Ensuring preventive maintenance and regular servicing of track assets as per laid down guidelines and schedule of maintenance.
  • Responsible for immediate and efficient handling in case of any major event that affects train Operation (for example: Rail / weld failure or any other incident which affects the train operation).
  • Maintenance works snag attention and subsequent compliance and maintain the records as per the directions of the TL’s.
  • Adherence to maintenance standards and SOP’s.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures of track maintenance, Operation and maintenance of motor trolleys and manual point operation in depot.
  • Knowledge & periodical maintenance of Permanent way tools and machinery (identification of tools for various track maintenance activities).
  • Coordinating with the station/ Depot/OCC Operation staff regarding maintenance of Track assets as well as during performance of the Corrective maintenance activities.
  • Organization of collection of technical facts aiming to raise issues for the engineering team and /or the Track Work supplier (during the Defective liable period).
  • Support and Major involvement in all track maintenance activities.

Rolling Stock Maintainer is responsible for the maintenance of rolling stock to meet operational requirements to ensure it can enter commercial service.

Expected:

  • To meet the day-to-day organization of the maintenance tasks during their shifts.
  • To carry out preventive maintenance of rolling stock and depot equipment as per laid down guidelines and schedules of maintenance.
  • To immediately and efficiently respond in case of a major incident on account of Rolling stock.
  • To carry out wheel machining of rolling stock and depot equipment.
  • To be involved in Re-railing activities.
  • To be involved in major components exchange.
  • To coordinate with the team leader regarding maintenance of rolling stock assets.
  • To support processes and procedures.
  • To support Supervisors and managers in information transmittal.
